After using the feed, weed & moss killer, is it wise to scarify the lawn before reseeding?
Question by: Nick Warner on 21 Apr 2022, 23:51
Hi, thank you for your question! We would suggest scarifying your lawn before overseeding. We recommend doing this two weeks after applying our Feed, Weed and Moss Killer - making sure the granules have fully dissolved.

I intend to scarify and aerate my lawn, and given the amount of moss it’s likely going to be very patchy. Should I use the feed, weed, moss killer prior to scarifying & aerating? If so, how long before?

If I should use the feed, weed, moss killer after scarify & aerate, then how long after applying should I overseed?

After overseeding, should I then apply any other of your fertilisers?

Hi, thank you for your question!

Our Feed, Weed and Moss Killer works over the course of two weeks to eradicate weeds and moss - where it is particularly prevalent, patches will appear, and these will need to be seeded. It will also feed your lawn and make any existing grass very green and lush. It is a granular fertiliser and needs to be watered in after application.

I would suggest applying the Feed, Weed and Moss Killer to your lawn, and then two weeks later, you can scarify your lawn and overseed any bare patches - after making sure the granules have fully dissolved.

How long after Scarifying can this product be applied to lawn
Question by: Adam on 5 May 2022, 08:44
Hi, thanks for your question. I recommend applying the Feed Weed & Mosskiller first and allowing the product to work for two weeks, to eradicate weeds and moss. Then I would suggest scarifying your lawn to remove any moss or weeds that have been treated.

Previously when using a weed and feed type stuff my apple tree suffered badly, though recovered after a couple of years. Does this affect trees and is there a minimum clearance required to minimise and negative effects on them or any other plants in boarders close to lawns?
Question by: Steve on 14 May 2022, 14:00
Hi, thank you for your question.

We are looking into this with our manufacturer. At this point, we wouldn't expect the feed, weed and moss killer to do anything bad, but we are not entirely sure until we get clarification from our chemical experts.

One week down and not even a slight visible effect of weed/moss removal.

Is this normal?
Question by: Garry Skinner on 22 May 2022, 10:15
Hi Garry, thank you for your question.

We recommend waiting for two weeks to see the full treatment benefit of our Feed, Weed and Moss Killer.

Following the two weeks, we suggest scarifying your lawn and reseeding any bare patches where the moss/weeds have been killed off.

How does this affect plants in adjoining boarders of fruit trees in lawns. I previously used a similar product and it took the tree 2 years to recover :(
Question by: Steve on 14 Jun 2022, 10:26
Hi Steve, thank you for your question. We have looked into this with our fertiliser expert, who informed us that there should be no adverse effects on trees or, specifically, the fruit from trees.

Hi I have fruit trees growing in my lawn (apples and pears), I'm concerned about the product ending up in the fruit, is it safe to use?
Question by: Greg on 8 Sept 2022, 10:27
Hi Greg, thank you for your question. Our Feed, Weed and Mosskiller, if applied around trees, will not cause adverse effects to trees and specifically the fruit in the trees.

Hi
Will the weed killer part of this product kill Parsley piert .
Thanks
Ollie
Question by: Oliver seyfried on 8 Nov 2022, 09:43
Hi Ollie, thanks for the question. The Feed, Weed & Mosskiller can help eradicate parsely piert. However, this can be a tricky one to remove and may need a few applications. It is worth noting that this particular product is a 6 week fertiliser, so can only be reapplied after this time has passed.
