Product Description

Our Feed, Weed & Mosskiller is the complete fertiliser solution for a tired and weathered lawn that is being held hostage by weeds and moss! This fertiliser acts in three noticeable steps – moss shrinks and dies off and can be easily raked away and weeds quickly disappear by being killed at the root. Existing grass becomes vibrantly and instantly green, revealing areas ready for reseeding.

After application, we recommend waiting 2 weeks before planning to seed. This ensures your fertiliser has adequate time to take effect and complete its full process – killing off moss and weeds, and sufficiently feeding your lawn. Patches will appear where moss and weeds have been killed off, these areas will require reseeding. This product should only be used on an established lawn (6 months + old)

Please note this fertiliser can scorch your grass blades, so remember to water it off or apply just before the rain is due. Avoid application during very hot periods. We recommend applying on cooler evenings or overcast days. For more information on all things fertiliser, read our Fertiliser FAQs.

All our grass seed mixes have the highest levels of purity, offer the best germination rates, and grow better than seeds you will find elsewhere. We are so confident that our Grass Seed Growth Guarantee covers all our seeds!

Usage Guide

Apply only on an established lawn (6 months + old)
Apply our fertiliser at the recommended rate by hand when wearing a glove or spreader
Water the fertiliser in until it dissolves
Keep kids and pets away from the lawn during application and until the granules dissolve
Remove / water off any footwear you were wearing during the application of the fertiliser to avoid any risk of damage to newly laid patios / stone flag flooring

Not watering your fertiliser in can potentially scorch existing grass or delay the benefits of the fertiliser. If after watering the fertiliser does not disappear and dissolve off the surface, water until you cannot see the granules.

Use March - October
Spreading Rate 32 grams per m2
Watering  This fertiliser MUST be watered in - granules should not be visible after application if watered in suffciently.

Aftercare

Allow the product to work over two weeks before overseeding patches

Product Questions

Is it best to not mow before applying this? And can I put topsoil over it after 2 weeks? My garden is 70% weeds & moss plus very uneven and hard ground so planning a complete overhaul!
Question by: Christina on 14 Sept 2023, 16:23
Thank you for your question, You don't have to mow prior to application and once the two weeks are up and the weeds and moss have been cleared you can go ahead with any seeding.

Hi should I scarify the lawn before applying the feed weed and moss killer or after?
Thanks
Question by: Kevin on 13 Sept 2023, 15:40
Hi, thank you for your question.

You don't have to scarify prior to treatment. However, you will need to a few weeks after application and once the weeds and moss have been treated.
Answer by: Roisin McCann (Admin) on 13 Sept 2023, 15:56
is it too late in the year to apply this? I have large amounts of areas that will need over seeding due to moss following this application
Question by: Kate on 7 Sept 2023, 08:42
Thank you for your questions.

No, there is still time to apply the Feed, Weed & Mosskiller and you can continue to sow up until October if the temperatures are still mild enough.

Hi, I fed my lawn 3 weeks ago with quick release summer. When Can I apply your feed and weed? I’ve got a lot of weeds poking through after all the rain.
Many Thanks.
Question by: Adam on 6 Aug 2023, 15:57
The Quick Release is a 6 week feed, so once the six weeks have passed you then apply the Feed Weed & Mosskiller.
Answer by: Roisin McCann (Admin) on 7 Aug 2023, 09:39
Hi, I have just scarified and want to apply the 'feed and mosskiller complete' prior to overseeding. How long should I wait after application before I can safely overseed? Thanks

Jason
Question by: Jason on 19 Jul 2023, 19:22
Hi Jason, thank you for your question. You can start to overseed about two weeks after applying the Feed, Weed & Mosskiller. Before overseeding, make sure to clear any dead weeds and moss.

Hey! Will this product eradicate Daisies in a lawn?
Question by: Stephen Brookes on 13 Jul 2023, 11:02
Thank you for your question

Yes this product will help eradicate creeping buttercups. I have also included the full list of weeds that it is effective on.

Common Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale)
Creeping Buttercup (Ranunculus repens)
Creeping Cinquefoil (Potentilla reptans)
Daisy (Bellis perennis)
Greater Plantain (Plantago major)
Lesser Trefoil (Trifolium dubium)
Mouse-ear Chickweed (Cerastium fontanum subsp. Vulgare)
Ribwort Plantain (Plantago lanceolata)
Selfheal (Prunella vulgaris)
Thyme-leaved Speedwell (Veronica serpyllifolia)
White Clover (Trifolium Repens)
Bird’s Foot Trefoil (Lotus corniculatus)
Large or perennial weeds may re-grow.

After the two weeks, check for new growth of more persistent weeds as these may require a repeated treatment.

Hello
I've used the Moss Killer/Fertiliser late April and it has not killed all the moss. I was planning to seed the lawn this spring after the treatment. Do you think it'll now be best to wait until autumn to re-seed after a 2nd Moss Killer application?
Many thanks
Question by: Yan Thompson on 27 May 2023, 16:00
Hi, thank you for your question.

You can sow now if you wish and there is still plenty of time. The grass sowing season is generally from March - September. You can confidently sow grass seed when temperatures are 8-10 degrees and above consistently for at least two weeks with no adverse weather conditions forecast. Always consult a two week forecast prior to sowing.
Answer by: Roisin McCann (Admin) on 29 May 2023, 15:17
Hi I’m looking at feed, weed, & moss killer. Do you do smaller bags as I only require 4kg
Question by: Dave on 21 May 2023, 16:50
Hi Dave, unfortunately the 20kg is the only size available at the minute. Our fertiliser will keep for up to four years if stored in a cool dry place.
Answer by: Roisin McCann (Admin) on 23 May 2023, 15:12
Will this kill weed grasses? I seem to have a lot of what I think is called crab grass. Thick stems growing horizontally into the lawn grass.
Question by: Jonny Strong on 18 May 2023, 12:56
Hi Jonny, Unfortunately this particular treatment won't treat crab grass. Most people result to removing it by hand or other methods: Regular mowing can help weaken the grasses and you can then remove it be hand. Once the area is overseeded and the new lawn established, if you see any trying to reappear make sure to remove it as quickly as possible as it is quite prolific.
