I have used about half of this before over seeding an existing lawn this October. Can I use this again and if so, when should I use it?
Question by: anthony on 7 Oct 2020, 16:31
Hi Anthony

We do not recommend using this product on any lawns younger than 6 months. If stored in a cool dry place it will keep and can be used next year if needed when the lawn is well established.

Thanks
Roisin

In September 2020 I grew our lawn from scratch, can I use this product on our new lawn in Spring 2021? If so what month is best to use?
Question by: Matthew Gurd on 5 Feb 2021, 05:57
Hi Matthew

Yes, you should be fine. We have put the 6-month rule as a "guideline". If you have a lawn that looks pretty full and is well established within this time frame then it probably will be okay, it is up yourself to make this call. Anything younger than 4 months then do not apply it, some of the chemicals in the mix can damage younger grass.

Last autumn I seeded my existing lawn tennis court with a bag of your bowling green seed. The court is looking quite lush, but there is quite a bit of moss. Temperatures are unseasonably high. Shall I apply the seed feed weed now, or shall I scarify the moss out and them seed feed weed?
Question by: james on 22 Feb 2021, 15:16
Hi James, you should apply the Feed Weed & Mosskiller now and allow two weeks for it to eradicate weeds and moss then scarify.

How often should this be used from Match onwards?
Question by: Rich on 24 Feb 2021, 18:20
Hi Rich

Whilst there are no specific guidelines on how often it should be used, it is not a product we would advise that you apply regularly. It works over the course of two weeks to eradicate weeds and moss and can feed the lawn for up to six weeks as it is a quick release. If you feel that it needs another treatment after the six weeks then apply but carefully.

Starting in March (now) what would you advise over the course of the year feed wise from your range? I have some of this already. Thanks
Question by: Rich on 25 Feb 2021, 09:15
Hi Rich

If you want to treat your lawn using the Feed, Weed & Mosskiller, this also works as a quick release fertiliser and feed will last for up to six weeks. Depending when you start this, it should take you into April, after this I would apply SLOW RELEASE: Spring Summer. This is a nitrogen rich feed and once dissolved will nourish the lawn for up to 16 weeks. It will strengthen and thicken up the grass, making it very green and lush. It can also be applied to new lawns once established to help strengthen new seedlings. This will take you through to the Autumn when you would then consider our Autumn/Winter range. This will need watered until fully dissolved.

Then in early Autumn you would want to consider our SLOW RELEASE: Autumn/Winter Fertiliser. It will harden the lawn and provide the ultimate protection during the colder months. It gives four months of continuous feed, and although it is less intensive than a quick release it is a more balanced feed. Tjis should keep you going until Spring.

Also, our fertilisers will keep for up to four years if stored in a cool dry place.

Hi. Does the moss need raked out after killing off? Or do they ‘disappear’. Also if I apply this now do I need a separate fertiliser later in spring or throughout the year?

Thanks
Question by: Steven Stewart on 1 Mar 2021, 19:48
Hi Steven

It takes around 2 weeks to help eradicate weeds and moss, you will then need to remove any moss or weeds that have been treated. The feed will last up to six weeks, so you can fertilise again after this.

My lawn needs cutting, should I do that before or after applying the weed and feed?
Question by: Lauren on 2 Mar 2021, 10:32
Hi Lauren

Yes, you can mow before applying but do not mow too short and leave it a day or two before applying the product.
