Feed, Weed & Mosskiller - All Questions

sort-ascending
I've recently cleared an old allotment to soil, which was covered in bindweed, brambles and other weeds. Groundworkers are coming in to turnover and flatten the soil ready for seeding.

I've now readying to seed, but unsure if I should use this weedkiller fertiliser or the pre-seed?

Thanks.

Hi Ricky

We would only recommend the Feed, Weed & Mosskiller if you are concerned with weeds. If you have these under control then you should apply the QUICK RELEASE: Pre Seed Fertiliser.

I ordered feed, weed and moss killer from you. You have sent me a bag of coburns restore pro. ?? Just checking that they do the same thing (triple action)? Many thanks
Question by: Andy Hodges on 14 May 2021, 17:55
Hi Andy, the Restore Pro is the same product as Feed, Weed & Mosskiller. We have updated the usage guidelines with this product so if you adhere to the usage’s guidelines with Feed, Weed & Mosskiller then you can’t go wrong.

Hi
Can I disolve the granules in water then usea sprayer to apply
Cheers
Question by: Kevin Jones on 20 May 2021, 19:20
Hi Kevin,

Unfortunately not and we strongly recommend that you stick to the usage guidelines. If you dissolve prior to application there is no way to measure the amount of product that is applied per m2.

Hello, I recently scarified and then over-seeded 2 months and 3 weeks ago with your seed. Would it be possible to apply this material now to support new growth, greenery and reduce weeds (there’s a lot) please?
Question by: Chris Dowland on 8 Jun 2021, 23:56
Hi Chris,

We do not recommend applying this product to new lawns. Anything younger than 4 months then do not apply it, some of the chemicals in the mix can damage younger grass. If it is around 4 the month mark.

I do hope this gives you some clarification. Any other questions just let me know.

Hi

How often can this product be used, is there any minimum period between applications.

Thanks

Question by: Nigel Evans on 1 Jul 2021, 14:21
Hi Nig

The feed and moss killing aspect takes up to two weeks to take effect and the fertiliser will continue to feed the garden for up to six weeks. Once this time is up you can reapply if required.

Hi I bought the bag of this in March, used it to great effect but have loads left. I have since used pre seed fertiliser having over seeded. I don’t intend to put a separate spring summer fertiliser down now but am thinking about what to use in autumn- can this be used now and then throughout autumn / winter for the feed content even though there is little weeds/ moss left? If so What quantity and how often?

Thanks very much
Question by: Steven Stewart on 6 Jul 2021, 07:39
Hi Steven

Whilst it does have a fertiliser, this wouldn't be a product we would recommend applying if you are not planning on treating weeds or moss. All our fertilisers will last up to 4 years, if stored in a sealed bag somewhere cool and dry, so you can use it again. The composition of the winter fertilisers is designed to strengthen and harden the grass whilst protecting against winter borne diseases.

Hi There. I'm a little surprised no one is asking about the potential impact of this product on insects, especially the Bees, upon which we are all so dependent. Can I use this product and be confident it won't harm Bees please?
Thank you!
Question by: Edward on 13 Aug 2021, 10:52
Hi, thanks for your question. The purpose of the Feed Weed & Mosskiller is to kill off weeds and moss, and once dissolved isn’t visible on the lawn's surface and isn’t harmful. Bees typically do not live in your lawn but they do rest on clover which this product kills. Whilst bees do favour clover, if you have some in your lawn, I would avoid using this product in those areas so they can continue to enjoy it and we would encourage this.
If you would prefer a more natural fertiliser you might want to consider our REVIVE: Organic 365 but be mindful that this does not will weeds and moss.
