If you have a little shade you can mix this product with our STEADFAST: Shade to get the best of both mixtures.

Our SUPERSTAR: Back Lawn contains perennial ryegrass for wear along with some fescues.

Is there anything to gain or anything wrong with putting more seed down than is recommended?

Adding too can cause too much can cause competition amongst the new grass and it is also less economical however it really depends how much more you add!

Is this grass seed safe to use with dogs? I know some grass seeds say to keep pets away for so many hours after spreading!

Our grass seeds are not toxic to pets so it should all be fine.

Is there a shelf life for a bag of seed?

Yes, over time grass seeds quality degrades, we regularity test our seed to make sure it is at the highest quality. If you are talking about a few months you should be fine but years it would not.

Having problems with squirrels digging up lawn. Need to re-sow parts of lawn and also deter them from coming back. Any recommendations

You will need to use some type of chicken wire or small wire to fence off areas to help deter them not necessarily keep them off.

Also there are some products on the market ie Scent Off which may prove beneficial to treat the area as it gives out a smell to animals.

Hi Daniel, none of our grass seed mixtures contain weeds. That would be very counterproductive! Our grass seed mixtures contain 100% natural grass seed.
