Usage Guide

Sowing PERFORM: Cricket Squares & Wickets

Dig the soil over to a depth of 20-25cm
Remove weeds or moss by hand or use a Feed, Weed and Moss Killer
Add top soil if you believe the soil to be poor quality or unlevel
Then level the seedbed using a rake
Allow the seedbed to cultivate for 10-14 days. This is to encourage any existing weeds to come to the surface, which can then be removed by hand
Sow the seed at our recommended rate of 35g per m2, by using a seed spreader or scatter the seeds by hand
Rake the seed after sowing so that the seed is embedded into the soil
Firm down by foot or by using a roller to improve seed-to-soil contact
Water the newly seeded area after sowing

Overseeding with PERFORM: Cricket Squares & Wickets

Remove dead grass, weeds or moss by scarifying / raking the area
Rake the area so the soil is loose and not compact
Allow the seedbed to cultivate for 10-14 days, which will encourage any existing weeds to appear on the surface, and these can then be removed by hand
Overseed the area using a seed spreader or scatter the seeds by hand with our recommended spreading rate of 25g per m2
Rake the seed into the soil after sowing so that the seeds are embedded in the soil
Firm down by foot or by using a roller to improve seed-to-soil contact
Water the seeded area well after overseeding
