SLOW RELEASE: Autumn / Winter Fertiliser - All Questions

sort-ascending
Hi - I have just overseeded my lawn early Oct as it had taken quite a battering from the summer drought. I know I have to wait 4-6 weeks (or maybe slightly longer) which takes me well into November before I can apply this product. Some of your answers are slightly contradictory. E.g R says it can be applied right until end November, but in another response she says until the end of October. Is it basically flexible, and how late into winter can this be applied? Many thanks for clarifying.

Hi Pete, it really depends on the temperatures and that can vary from year to year.
Ideally, you want to get it down before the ground freezes, after that there isn't much point.

Is the slow release fertiliser safe for pets?

All of our lawn food products contain chemicals. Keep children and pets off the lawn during application and until the granules dissolve. If your pet uses the lawn as a bathroom then supervise them when they are doing this. Once the granules are dissolved, it is safe to let children and pets back on the lawn.

Do I have to wait a few days after mowing before spreading this or can it be done straight after mowing? Do I then have to wait before my next mow after application? Thanks.

We would recommend waiting two or three days after mowing before fertilising and your not required to wait any length of time between fertilising and your next mow.
