Thank you for your enquiry.
Yes you can apply once the garden is mowed. This is a granular fertiliser and requires watering until fully dissolved.

Kind Regards
Roisin

I've just over seeded an established lawn (Oct 6 after using the Lawn, Moss and Weedkiller 2 weeks prior to. You advise not to use this for 4-6 weeks after over seeding, which takes me until end November...is it then too late to apply this fertiliser and I'd be better waiting until Spring and fertilising then?

Thanks
Question by: anthony on 7 Oct 2020, 16:48
Hi Anthony

Absolutely apply this product at the end of November, this will provide protection during some of the coldest months (December & January) and will last right into the Spring. It is best to protect the new lawn as much as you can.

Thanks Roisin

I have the slow realese fertilizer how long after cutting lawn should I wait to.apply ? And should that be the last cut ? Or can I cut again once fertilizer is down?
Many thanks
Question by: Estelle Gilbert on 9 Oct 2020, 11:59
Hi Estelle, you can apply straight away just ensure that the fertiliser is watered well and fully dissolved. You might not need to cut it again until the spring as growth tends to start slowing down, however if you feel that it needs it then feel free.

Thanks
Roisin

I have a fairly small lawn, about 50m2. How long will your slow release autumn fertiliser be ok to store for, in a dry shed. Thanks
Question by: Martin Lusk on 10 Oct 2020, 10:21
Thank you for your enquiry. Our fertiliser will keep for up to four years if stored in a cool dry place.

Thanks Roisin

How soon after mowing can I use the autumn slow release fertiliser and can I use when grass is a bit damp as it nearly always is this time of year
Question by: tarot shonk on 19 Oct 2020, 15:01
The fertiliser can be applied straight after application, or at least when the cuttings are removed. This is a granular fertiliser and must be watered well until fully dissolved.

I have laid a new turf lawn 3 months ago with organic fertilizer underneath. Very sadly has developed red thread in the last month following a lot of rain. I treated it with provanto 1 week ago. I read that high nitrogen fertilizer is the other good source to help the grass. Would you recommend your slow or fast release winter fertilizer in this situation - or something else? Thank you
Question by: James on 19 Oct 2020, 22:28
Hi James

You are quite right, a fertiliser rich in nitrogen will help with your red thread issue and help keep it at bay. However our winter fertilisers are not as high in nitrogen as our Spring/Summer fertilisers. In winter the focus is on the potassium and phosphate rather that nitrogen. An application of our QUICK RELEASE Spring Summer, will give the lawn an intense nitrogen feed and will continue to work over a period of six weeks.

Hi my lawn is around 7 weeks old and is this product ok to use now? And what’s the latest time I can apply this? And will it help with grass that is slightly yellowing? Thanks
Question by: Lee on 21 Oct 2020, 17:52
Hi Lee

This can be applied to newly established lawns, this normally takes 6-9 weeks after sowing depending on conditions, however if you feel that your garden is not quite there then I would leave it a few weeks. The feed can last up to 16 weeks so ideally we recommend this can be applied up until the end of October. This should take you up to spring. This will help nourish the soil and have improve the overall colour of the grass.

Does the lawn need to be cut short for this to work?
Question by: Lee on 22 Oct 2020, 08:33
Hi Lee, not necessarily, it will make application and watering easier though if the grass is not overgrown. If you wish to mow I would recommend that you keep your mower at the highest setting as not to cut it too short.

Hi
I’m in 2 minds as to whether to apply this. So my lawn is around 8 weeks old from seed. Does the grass need to be dry when applied? Will this help with any yellowing of the grass? Any advice is much appreciated as I get nervous when applying products.
Question by: Lee on 29 Oct 2020, 19:21
Hi Lee

Thank you for getting in touch. I think we may have covered this on your Facebook enquiry. The product can be applied to dry or wet grass. As it is a granular fertiliser and must be watered well after application to ensure that it is fully dissolved. You could apply it just before rain is due as this will help the pellets dissolve. It will help with yellowing as it contains nitrogen along with other nutrients to protect the new lawn during the winter.

I’m about to order some more grass seed from you and wanted to order the winter slow release feed, can I buy it in smaller quantity than 20kg please?
Question by: Linda on 18 Jan 2021, 21:00
Hi Linda

Thank you for your query. Unfortunately, we only sell fertiliser in 20kg bags however, these can be stored and re-used when required.
Our fertiliser will keep for up to four years if stored in a cool dry place.

Also, we would not recommend applying fertiliser until the spring, the ground is still pretty cold and frozen in some parts of the country and the grass is dormant during these winter months.
