How long should o wait between applying the pre-seed fertiliser and sowing new seeds? Thanks
Question by: Dan on 23 Apr 2021, 23:29
Hi Dan

Once the fertiliser has been fully dissolved then it is safe to seed.
Answer by: Roisin McCann on 27 Apr 2021, 08:30
I have applied the fertiliser and watered the top soil for as much as I can for 5 days but the granules are not dissolving.

Sorry I'm new to this whole thing and perhaps some of the questions I will ask may seem silly.

Is it safe to apply the Clay Master lawn seed before the fertiliser fully dissolves?

Or should I cover the fertiliser with some more top soil and water for a few days, then seed?

What happens if the fertiliser fails to dissolve after 2 weeks? Should i go ahead to seed?

Thank You
Question by: Momo on 24 Apr 2021, 18:34
Hi Momo

We would recommend that you keep watering daily. It has been exceptionally dry over the last few weeks and with cooler temperatures than usual this will slow the process down.
We would also advise that the granules have fully dissolved before seeding. I can assure you that you have nothing to worry about and it will dissolve

Hi,

I used the quick release: pre seed fertiliser on 24th September, a week before sowing new seed (Impress: clay master) on 1st October and watered the fertiliser in as advised.

Two weeks since sowing and the grass is growing well.

Since the bag of fertiliser is 20kg and my lawn is only 8m x 8m, I have a good deal of fertiliser left over from the initial application. Can I use this fertiliser once the lawn is established? If so, how soon after seeding should I use it?

If not, which fertiliser would you recommend and when would be the best time to apply it?

Thank you!

Question by: Tom on 14 Oct 2021, 17:24
Hi Tom, whilst the fertiliser can be reused, ideally in the colder months we would recommend our SLOW RELEASE: Autumn/Winter Fertiliser. It will harden the lawn and provide the ultimate protection during the colder months. It gives four months of continuous feed, and although it is less intensive than a quick release it is a more balanced feed. This will take you through to the Spring when you would then consider our Spring/Summer range or you could apply The Re Seed for a quick boost.

All our fertilisers will keep for up to four years if stored in a cool dry place

How often can I reapply this pre-seed fertiliser?
Question by: Terrance on 2 Apr 2022, 10:38
Thank you for your question! Our Quick Release: Pre-Seed fertilisers provide six weeks of feed, and once the feed duration is up, you can feed your lawn again.

Hi, I have been watering this for 4 days, it’s had a LOT of water and is still not dissolved. I have raked it in a bit so it’s hidden under the soil now more or less. Is this ok to now put grass seed down? It just won’t dissolve.

Thanks.
Question by: Nicola sjekel on 20 Apr 2022, 13:44
Hi, thank you for your question.

Our fertilisers can take up to 10 days to fully dissolve, and we would suggest continuing to water your lawn.

We would also advise holding off sowing grass seed until the fertiliser is fully dissolved.

When can I use this quick release pre seed
Question by: Tony on 29 May 2022, 13:30
Hi, thank you for your question!

We would advise applying our QUICK RELEASE: Pre-Seed Fertiliser prior to seeding.

We would also suggest mowing your lawn before using this product. It is a granular fertiliser, so it will need to be watered in after application.
