Hi Chris

Thank you for your enquiry.
Once applied and watered until the granules have fully dissolved you can seed straight away.

Hello, I’m about to kill the weeds and moss in my lawn and overseed and topdress, is this the correct fertiliser to use during? Thank you
Question by: Daniel on 28 Feb 2021, 02:54
Hi Daniel. No we would not recommend using this product to treat your weeds.

However we do have Feed, Weed and Moss Killer product. It works over the course of two weeks to eradicate weeds and moss - where it is particularly prevalent patches will appear and these will need seeded. It will also feed your lawn and make any existing grass very green and lush. It is a granular fertiliser and needs to be watered in after application.

Hi, can I use this straight after overseeding? Thank you
Question by: Daniel Cameron on 9 Mar 2021, 01:26
Hi Daniel

We recommend that this product is applied prior to sowing. If applied after I would leave it a few days and make sure that the granules are well watered and fully dissolved.

Can i apply this now and then in a couple of weeks scarify and overseed? or would you recommend to scarify first before using this and overseeding?
Question by: simon on 9 Mar 2021, 15:31
Hi Simon

I would suggest you scarify before applying the fertiliser.
When you apply the fertiliser make sure that it is well watered and fully dissolved before sowing seeds.

Hi,

I've a patchy grass where some areas are very lush and others are extremely patchy including one location which is predominantly dirt where the grass has died.

I am planning to use the quick release fertiliser over the whole lawn (roughly 70g/m2) and will water it in (it looks like rain in a few days which should help!).

After which, I will be sowing your ultrashade grass in the dirt area, the shade grass in the patchy/shadowy areas and then topping the whole lot with some of your back garden grass seeds (oversowing in places where the grass is reasonably good).

In the dirt area, I will be loosening the dirt and then covering over with top soil just to help the germination process.

Is my logic/plan sound or am I missing anything?

Thanks!
Question by: Nish on 22 Mar 2021, 19:37
Hi Nish

Everything sounds great and I can't see anything that you have missed. The only thing I will mention is that the shaded mixes are slightly slower to establish than some of the other mixes and rely on warmer temperatures for germination.

Hi, We bought a quantity of grass seed and PRE SEEDING fetilizer from you last year. Can we use the left over fertilizer as a PRE TURFING fertilizer?
Question by: jeffrey on 23 Mar 2021, 10:52
Hi Jeffrey

Thank you for your enquiry. Whilst not specifically advertised as a pre turf fertiliser It will help nourish the soil prior to rolling. It contains adequate amounts of all key nutrients to help increase soil health and promote a strong root system and protect against lawn diseases.

I bought the quick release pre-seeding fertiliser. Do you know what setting I need on my Evergreen easy spreader plus to achieve the right dosage.
Question by: Wayne on 25 Mar 2021, 18:06
Hi Wayne

Whilst we can't be 100% accurate as we do not manufacture the spreader, we would suggest a setting of 4.5 for 2 passes.

How long does this take to dissolve ?

Reckon I have used a petrol tankers worth of water and can still it all!
Question by: Gareth Thomas on 27 Mar 2021, 14:49
Hi Gareth, unfortunately there is no set time frame for this. It can take a while in some gardens.
Answer by: Roisin McCann on 29 Mar 2021, 12:06
Hi I’ve got a Scott’s easy green rotary spreader. Can you tell me what number setting I need for your quick release pre seed fertiliser please. And also once it’s dissolved and I’ve overseeded would I need to cover the seeds with any soil or will they just grow with the fertiliser? Thanks Ray
Question by: Raymond Page on 29 Mar 2021, 19:25
Hi Raymond, we would recommend setting 27 for 2 passes. This is a granular product and will need to be watered until fully dissolved. Once dissolved then you can sow the seeds. We do recommend that you gently rake over or walk on the area to encourage seed to soil contact. You can see all our procedures in the Help & Advice section.
