IMPRESS: Clay Master Lawn Seed - All Questions

sort-ascending
I have spread this seed 2 weeks ago to establish a new lawn on a new build heavy clay back garden, and it is now starting to germinate.
I would like to apply a fast release fertiliser to help it grow.
Can I apply fertiliser now or is there a recommended grass height/time period after sowing ?

Hi there,

Thanks for your question. I wouldn't recommend applying fertiliser at this stage to help speed up growth - instead, you can apply a fertiliser after the lawn has had its first mow. The recommended height is 5-7cm and the lawn should be at the 6-8 week post sowing mark. If you want a quick release, I'd opt for our QUICK RELEASE: Spring / Summer fertiliser, or alternatively you could try our liquid feeds - Make it Grow or Make it Green will work well here and give you a luscious lawn for summer!

Many Thanks
Roisin
