Key usage guide for using our liquid lawn fertiliser

We recommend using a watering can or a backpack fertiliser spray (also known as a knapsack sprayer) when applying our liquid lawn fertiliser.

As with all our fertilisers, it's important you read the label on the back of the packaging for the product you are using. The labels include all the important information you need for the mixing rates and the methods to use when applying them.

Note that if you decide not to follow the mixing directions or 'free pour' the mixing quantities rather than measure them accurately, you will potentially waste product, and you could also cause damage to your grass. Make it Grow

Make it Grow liquid lawn fertiliser has been formulated for grass root and foliar (leaf) application. Using this lawn feed as a root treatment fills the soil with nutrients to increase the growth of your grass. When used as a foliar treatment, you are spraying the fertiliser directly onto the grass blades, which will boost the overall health of your grass and make sure it grows better and faster.

We recommend using this product during the spring and summer months, from March until the end of September. The temperatures outside are above 10 degrees during these months, which provides the best conditions for the fertiliser to get to work.

Grass can require a lot of nutrients to grow and be healthy throughout the year, and our Make it Grow liquid fertiliser gives your grass what it needs and gets you the garden lawn you’ve always wanted!

• For Spring / Summer use
• Foliar (leaf): For every m2 of the garden, you need 2ml of mixture & 80ml of water
• Root: For every m2 of your garden, you will need 6ml of mixture and 100ml of water
• Mix in a watering can or a liquid fertiliser sprayer
• Apply evenly to the whole lawn
• Apply in dry conditions
• Avoid applying in warm or heatwave conditions.

Make it Green

Make it Green is a nutrient-rich feed for use on already established lawns that are looking tired and worn out. This liquid fertiliser returns your grass to its former glory with a quick feed that enhances its colour and health.

This liquid fertiliser is rich in nitrogen and packs a punch when sorting out your lawn! Nitrogen is a major player in the growth and maintenance of your lawn, and it’s essential in ensuring that your grass is healthy, nutritious and vibrantly green. We have also added phosphorus and potassium to this nitrogen-laden lawn feed to boost your lawn's health, make it green and help it fight any unwelcome grass diseases.

We recommend using our Make it Green liquid fertiliser during the spring and summer months, from March until the end of September, for the best results. The temperatures at this time of year (above 10 degrees) generally provide an optimal environment for this fertiliser to boost the health and looks of your lawn! However, do not use this fertiliser in very warm or heatwave conditions.

• For every m2 of your garden, you must use 3ml of mixture and 75ml of water
• Mix in a watering can or a liquid fertiliser sprayer
• Apply evenly to the whole lawn
• Apply in dry conditions
• Avoid applying in warm or heatwave conditions
• Can be applied every 6-8 weeks

Make it Strong

Our Make it Strong liquid fertiliser contains a balance of nitrogen, potassium and phosphate to prepare your lawn for winter. The potassium in this feed enhances your lawn's ability to resist environmental stresses, particularly winter diseases like Red Thread and Fusarium Patch (Snow Mould). The added phosphate strengthens your grass blades and helps your lawn to maintain its lush and healthy appearance. This liquid feed also includes nitrogen, which works with potassium and phosphate to ensure your grass is strong and resilient against anything winter throws its way.

To achieve the best results when using Make it Strong, we recommend using this liquid fertiliser from September to the end of October. We do not recommend using any fertiliser once the winter frosts arrive, and this will depend on your location since it stays warmer in the south of England later in the year.

• For use in Autumn / Winter
• For every m2 of your garden, you must use 3ml of mixture and 75ml of water

• Apply evenly to the whole lawn
• Apply in dry conditions

Note that each liquid fertiliser comes with a detailed usage guide printed on the side of the bottle, outlining how to get the best results and how to use them safely.

As with any of our fertiliser products, we recommend you wear gloves, protective clothing, eyewear and a respiratory mask when mixing the product and during product application.

It would be best if you also aimed to remove/water off any footwear you were wearing during the application and before walking on any patio/stone flooring to avoid any risk of staining.
