ECO: Clover Lawn - All Questions

sort-ascending
We’ve used the clover lawn seed now and had fantastic results this summer. Our lawn looks and feels the best it has been. There is clover evenly distributed through the lawn after the over-seeding. My questions are:
1 - does the clover stay green through winter (we’re in Scotland)?
2 - if it doesn’t, will it grow back or will we have to over-seed again in spring?
Thanks

Thank you for your question.

1.Clover will become dormant during winter. This is why we have included the grass varieties - to ensure that the lawns remain green all year,
2.Clover is a very persistent perennial and will return each year and over time, you can expect to see more of it as it gradually spreads through the lawn.

Will birds eat the seed

Yes, it is possible that birds will eat the seed but usually they have a good source of food come spring and shouldn't bother too much. There are deterrents you could use to try and keep them at bay. A bird feeder will keep them full or hanging old DVDs or CDs will deter them from the lawn.

I'm really looking for red clover in my lawn. Please can you tell me what colour your lawn clover mix supports and if it is white clover, which is just as pretty, is white clover as attractive to the bees. Ive looked at lots of suppliers and would preer to buy from yourselves.
Many thanks

Thank you for your question. Our ECO Clover Lawn contains white clover and it is just as attractive to bees. Clover has lots of benefits and alongside creating a natural habitat for bees and pollinators, it is natural fertiliser and weed control.
