The Best Lockdown Lawns of 2020!

As we stayed home, our gardens became our sanctuaries, and the unusually warm weather from March onwards really kickstarted our sowing season.

You kept us extremely busy this spring / summer and sent through your dramatic lawn transformations that we loved and shared on our socials. But we weren’t the only ones that loved them, our followers did too! So we let you decide who made the top 15 list for the best lockdown lawns of 2020 - did you make the cut?

Mark's miraculous lawn

Topping our list and coming in at number 1, it's Mark with 118 likes! You went wild for Mark's green carpet lawn - achieved using 2kg of our SUPERSTAR: Back Lawn and by overcoming a flood! Mark said at the time in his Feefo review: ‘Definitely purchase grass seed again as our lawn was flooded in the winter and killed off most of the lawn so seeded all with The Grass People’s seed and have had superb results’. Whilst Mark's year didn't start too great with a flooded lawn, he was able to turn it around and we think you'll agree deserves first place for all his hard work!

Lea's luxury front lawn!

Not far behind Mark, Lea came in with 117 likes! Lea tagged us in his front lawn transformation using 10kg of our SUPERSTAR: Back Lawn and QUICK RELEASE: Spring / Summer fertiliser.

Kevin kickstarts his summer lawn!

Kevin is no stranger to taking care of his lawn, but even the best kept lawn needs a little bit of TLC! Kevin overseeded his lawn in preparation for summer using our STEADFAST: Ultra Shade and Fine Finish seed. Apparently, you can improve upon perfection! Kevin messaged us on Facebook and said 'I used your Ultra Shade and Fine Finish seed. Sowed back in May. Absolutely love the products. By far the best company I’ve used for grass seed! And your customer service is top drawer!’ Well done Kevin, you've certainly earned your stripes with 115 likes!

Matthew's marvelous new grass!

Matthew was an early bird and sowed a new lawn from scratch back in March using 10kg of our SUPERSTAR: Back Lawn for a stop and stare back lawn earning him a very impressive 114 likes and of course a 20% discount code!

Vivek vows to sow even more!

Unfortunately Vivek didn't have a 'Before' photo for us, but did supply this amazing after photo using our SUPERSTAR: Back Lawn and QUICK RELEASE: Spring / Summer fertiliser. You lot didn't mind, and gave his photo a not-to-be-sniffed-at 112 likes. Vivek said that he would use his 20% discount code to do his family member's lawn - lucky them!

Adam's amazing lawn

Adam turned his new build nightmare soil into a luscious lawn using 10kg of our SUPERSTAR: Back Lawn. At the time, Adam said ' Big fan of the ten blade cartridge for my Classic 17. @allett.mowers @thegrasspeople seed coming along nicely.’ Who else is jealous of Adam's Allett mower?

Lauren's lawn is looking great!

Lauren used 2kg of our SUPERSTAR: Back Lawn to turn her blank canvas into a lusciously green lawn for summer! It was very popular on our Instagram grid, and garnered 111 likes!

David's shaded lawn success!

David used 10kg of our STEADFAST: Shade and was hot on the heels of Lauren's lawn transformation with 110 likes. David said at the time ' ‘The garden was full of moss. Scarified and then used QUICK RELEASE: Pre-Seed followed by STEADFAST: Shade. The area is surrounded by trees so very happy with these results.’

Steph swears by IMPRESS: Clay Master!

Steph used our IMPRESS: Clay Master for her clay soils during her lockdown lawn reno which included a new foot path! She needed some seed to fill in the gaps and her lawn renovation proved very popular with our followers at 108 likes.

Ben's brilliant front lawn

Ben turned his front lawn from barren to absolute front lawn goals! Ben used 10kg of our STATEMENT: Front Lawn for that super fine finish to make the neighbours jealous, he tied with Steph at 108 likes.

Alistair's absolutely fabulous grass!

Alistair entered our top 15 with 104 likes, showing off the results of using 2kg of our STATEMENT: Front Lawn. Alistair said at the time '  ‘I just wanted to message you to tell you how impressed I am with it! All my neighbours have commented how they have ‘lawn envy’! Thanks again ??’

Chris' labour of love

Chris, who owns a lawncare maintenance business comes in at 101 likes on our list. Chris decided to try our 2kg of our SUPERSTAR: Back Lawn to see if it would also be suitable for his clients. Well, the results are in and Chris said 'Awesome thanks for great service and wonderful seed. I sold some of your seed to a customer who has also loved the results so far!! '

Rakesh's reseed is ready to rumble!

Rakesh got in touch to send us his excellent photos of his reseeding project using 10kg of our SUPERSTAR: Back Lawn. You enjoyed his lawn transformation too, and awarded him 101 likes too!

Lewis sowed 2kg of our SUPERSTAR: Back Lawn and has a new found lawn obsession after achieving these amazing results. Lewis tied with Rakesh and Alistair to make it to our top 15, finishing on 101 likes!
