Product Description
Slow Release: Autumn/Winter provides your lawn with the ultimate protection from winter disease and frost. High levels of potassium in this fertiliser help to harden your grass against extreme cold weather conditions and preserves your lawns appearance until spring / summer. One application offers 4 months coverage during your lawn’s harshest months, resulting in a hardy and healthy sward come the following summer.Â
This fertiliser carries minimal risk of scorching your grass blades, however, remember to water it off or apply just before the rain is due. For more information on all things fertiliser, read our Fertiliser FAQs.
Mixture Breakdown
Usage Guide
• Apply our fertiliser at the recommended rate by hand when wearing a glove or by using a spreader
• Water the fertiliser in until it dissolves
• Keep kids and pets away from the lawn during application and until the granules dissolve
• Remove / water off any footwear you were wearing during the application of the fertiliser to avoid any risk of damage to newly laid patios / stone flag flooring
Not watering your fertiliser in can potentially scorch existing grass or delay the benefits of the fertiliser. If after watering the fertiliser does not disappear and dissolve off the surface, water until you cannot see the granules.
You can apply this fertiliser from August to October. For a more instant effect going into winter, you may wish to consider our QUICK RELEASE: Autumn / Winter fertiliser.

Product Questions
Thanks
Absolutely apply this product at the end of November, this will provide protection during some of the coldest months (December & January) and will last right into the Spring. It is best to protect the new lawn as much as you can.

Many thanks
Thanks

However should I apply a slow release fertiliser like the autumn/winter fertiliser during the winter months or would the pressed that was applied in September be ok?
Btw I also have around 7kg left of the pre-seed fertiliser left. Can this only be applied pre-seeding or can it applied when not pre-seeding?
can you use this product immediately after mowing my lawns.
many thanks
Thank you for your enquiry.
Yes you can apply once the garden is mowed. This is a granular fertiliser and requires watering until fully dissolved.

fertilising for the winter?
Thank you
Thanks for your question.
Not every lawn needs to be scarified, however if you think your lawn would benefit from this, it is fine to do so. It is best to scarify before applying the fertiliser. As this is a granular fertiliser, it needs to be watered after application to ensure it dissolves.
Thanks Roisin
Ideally, you want to get it down before the ground freezes, after that there isn't much point.
