How long will seed remain viable in one of your unopened bags?
Similarly, in a bag that has been opened but sealed within airtight packaging?
Question by: Richard Coombs on 11 Mar 2021, 08:14
Our seed is all fresh so will be good for about 12 months, likely 18 in reality but the less time that passes the better!
Store it a cool, dry place and away from pests and it will be fine.

Hi
I am going to sow a 92sq m lawn that I would like to be suitable for croquet or bowls but I also want to use a robot mower most of which have a minimum cutting height of 30mm or one or two that can go down to 20mm. Is it suitable to use your bowling green mix at these cutting heights? If so will it be short enough for croquet/bowls?
Also they are all mulching mowers with no grass collection? Is this suitable for use on new lawns ?

Hi Jim

This particular mix consists of fescues which will tolerate a close mow, which is much preferred for any of the sporting mixes.

Hi using this product what would be the general maintenance thanks for any feedback
Question by: Kevin on 3 Sept 2021, 15:55
Hi Kevin

This particular mix can tolerate a closer mow than some of the others, it can be cut as short as 10mm-20mm. Otherwise the maintenance is the same as any other lawn, water regularly and apply a seasonal fertiliser.

A bowling green needs the grass to tolerate mowing down to 5mm (or less), is this mix able to be cut this short?
Question by: Bernard Dowley on 18 Jul 2023, 20:17
Yes! This mix will tolerate being mowed as low as 4mm.
